The Association of Dental Office Managers (ADOM), educational leader in medical business, completes the development process of the medical field with the first advanced-training programme dedicated to reception teams in medical clinics in Romania.
ADOM launches in June the FDO Medical (Front Desk Officer) Course dedicated to medical receptions, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in medical management, as well as the expertise of previous successful editions adapted to dental clinics in our country.
"The growth and optimisation tools created and developed in a personalised way over five years of programmes, as well as the research projects run by ADOM with the help of our entire community, have made possible this expansion into general-medicine clinics of the course dedicated to reception teams. The efforts to respond to the need clinics in Romania have — by diversifying and amplifying ADOM programmes — represent a reaction to market stimuli, to participants' need to receive know-how for developing their own businesses. The profile of small and medium-sized medical clinics is similar to that of dental clinics, which is why we used many of our management systems in designing this programme," declared Erika Ionescu, ADOM Vice President and lecturer.
The Association of Dental Office Managers oversees the only Dental Management School that supports specialty clinics with a portfolio of programmes and courses dedicated to non-medical staff. Management strategies and systems, recruitment and integration mechanisms, sample materials provided, workshops delivered within the courses, alongside dozens of hours of networking on topics and subjects of interest, represent the main instrument of the Association of Dental Office Managers in the development process it has assumed.
The entire ADOM portfolio succeeds in working on and developing every component of a dental practice or clinic, and FDO Medical represents an extension and adaptation of the course curriculum already validated by the more than 100 ADOM-certified participants on courses dedicated to receptions in dental clinics.
"Dentistry is a branch of medicine with which we have succeeded in working in a personalised way, at micro level on some themes, and by staying permanently up to date across the three editions of courses for dental-clinic receptions. Extending the programme to the private general-medicine market represents an adaptation, a deepening, and a large-scale development of the services that patients of medical practices in Romania need. Training and certifying a reception employee will facilitate the medical experience that every clinic wants to offer the patient," declared Cristian Taban, ADOM lecturer.
This ADOM action has as its initiative the constant presence in the classroom of representatives from other fields of activity (e.g. legal, financial, marketing, etc.), and the increasingly large demand for participation strongly influenced the organisation of the first edition of the FDO Medical course on 21–22 June.
