The initiative
Dr. Oana Taban launches ADOM România to support the development of management in dental clinics.
Since 2013
The Dental Office Managers Association began as one clinic group's internal culture of sharing and became the first management school for dentistry in Romania.
How it started
Built on the management experience and clinical expertise developed inside DENT ESTET, ADOM turned an internal culture into a national programme.
In 2013, Dr. Oana Taban, CEO and Founder of the DENT ESTET clinic group, launched ADOM România to support the development of management in dental clinics.
ADOM reflects one of the group's founding principles: a culture of sharing and mentorship as the engine of performance and professional growth.
It launched the first educational programme in Romania dedicated to dental clinic management — the Dental Office Managers School — for entrepreneurial dentists, clinic managers and the teams around them.
A clinic does not grow on clinical work alone. It grows on the way it is run.
Timeline
From a single initiative inside one clinic group to a faculty of fourteen and a national community.
Dr. Oana Taban launches ADOM România to support the development of management in dental clinics.
The first educational programme in Romania dedicated to dental clinic management.
Programmes are built on real situations, taught by professionals who run clinics every day.
A platform and a professional community of dentists, managers and team leaders nationwide.
Principles
Three commitments that decide how every course is written and taught.
Knowledge moves between clinics instead of staying locked inside one.
Programmes start from cases in practice and end in solutions you can apply.
The relationships built in the room outlast the course — managers who call each other.
Faculty
Fourteen practitioners teach across the programmes — operations, HR, marketing, procurement, law and patient experience.
Voices
Managers, coordinators and practice owners on what changed after the programme.
After a warm welcome I found a genuinely excellent programme: well organised, with information and strategies that are useful and concrete for managing a dental clinic.
Learn before you earn. Wonderful people with wonderful ideas, willing to share what they know — and our team found a new rhythm after the course.
The ADOM experience is constructive and, not least, beneficial for any participant. It helps you assess yourself honestly and meet the right people in the field.
I came for the marketing module and left with a reporting pack my dentists actually read. That alone paid for the programme.
The cases are real, not theory. Everything discussed on Saturday was in use in my clinic by Tuesday.
What stays with you is the network. I still call three people I met in that room whenever a difficult decision comes up.
