This month, the Association of Dental Office Managers (ADOM) marks five years since the first programme dedicated to dental clinics launched in Romania, designed to align the quality of dental services on the Romanian market with international standards.
ADOM is more than an institution that wants to offer short-term solutions to the most common problems of dental practices and clinics. It is truly a school whose purpose is the high-level training of doctor-owners of clinics and practices, of those who want to open a medical business, of those who want to practise as collaborating doctors but with advanced knowledge and skills in presenting and selling various treatment plans, and also of those who are daily responsible for coordinating the activities and teams in dental clinics.
ADOM teaches you to personalise management decisions
From the beginning we have promoted ADOM's mission: to offer participants long-term solutions, as well as mechanisms for creating personalised management — an information base aligned with the situation of the dentistry market in Romania. We have avoided standardising the solutions offered, precisely because every clinic has different needs. The ways of change and improvement, the strategies and resources established, their implementation and analysis, and the solutions for the constant challenges of the business are, however, decisions taken by ADOM participants themselves.
"I firmly believe that the clear added value of ADOM programmes is that they graduate with the ability and capability to understand the correct and healthy way to lead, coordinate, develop, and invest in their own medical business." (Oana Taban)
The DOM School brings a new vision of dental management
Five years ago we promised for the first time to create a way to access quality information from the field and to facilitate the practice of dental management. That is why we implemented in Romania the concept of Dental Office Managers (DOM), inspired by the USA and adapted to our dental-services market, to help maintain the quality of the medical act at the promised level by reducing the administrative activities of the doctor-owner.
That is how the DOM School appeared — the first and only programme in Romania dedicated to training in the management of dental practices and clinics. The three modules it comprises, totalling seven days of intensive courses, deliver to participants constantly updated information adapted to the market, taught by specialised trainers who are active in the segment they represent. And so that theoretical notions can become mechanisms for solving the problems dental clinics face, all of these are applied in practice through a project that simulates in real time the development, streamlining, and perfection of a dental clinic.
We would not have succeeded without DENT ESTET's support and experience
After the first five years of the long road we set for ourselves, we are glad that we have enriched our portfolio with programmes dedicated to the entire team in dental clinics, that we have constantly had in the classrooms people who work in other countries, and moreover that we have succeeded in going beyond Romania's territory with a special programme for the Republic of Moldova.
We are glad that to all these premieres is added the fact that we have succeeded in inspiring colleagues in the field and companies that want to support the private dental-services market through management courses. Even so, at five years I confess that changing mentality and management vision is not an easy task, and in a field like this, real experience in the domain — the experience of managing a clinic — is what offers participants added value and real solutions for their clinics. Without DENT ESTET's vision and experience, ADOM could not be a real support for dentists and dental clinic owners, and theoretical notions would not be drawn from day-to-day practice and permanently adapted.
At ADOM's anniversary, we celebrate you!
We leave behind #5years of success in which we have had alongside us people who believed in us, people who exposed their clinics' problems and vulnerabilities before us, people who opened practices and clinics after ADOM programmes, who recommended us, who repeat the programme whenever they feel they need it, and whom we reward with priority access to new information in the field through the ADOM community they belong to.
At our anniversary we celebrate you, members of the ADOM Community, for how much you have chosen to invest in your business, in the teams you have built, and in the patients you have won.
We congratulate you for believing in us and for deciding to develop yourselves in order to remedy and to anticipate the major challenges dental clinics face.
